Rush Freight Agency
The J.V. Rush Freight Agency, founded in 1994, is a company that specializes in
linking trucking companies with corporations that need to move large volumes of
freight across the United States and South America.
It's customers rely on the Rush Freight Agency to find trucking companies that
can move this freight in a timely and cost-effective manner.
In the freight agency business it's especially important to link up return
trips for the trucking companies to cut down on 'empty miles' (The amount of
miles travelled by a truck while it is not pulling a paid load.) After a period
of explosive growth due to the economic expansion in the early nineties it
became more and more challenging to find efficient trucking routes to keep
costs down for both the trucking companies and customers.
The J.V. Rush Freight Agency came to us to write a software system that would
improve the efficiency of it's Freight Agency Business, so that it could keep
up with growing demand, while maintaining the level of service quality of
exisiting clients. Working very closely with the founder of the company we
succeeded in delivering a system that closely models the business work-flow,
cuts time spend on redundant tasks, while at the same time improving
intelligence so that business decisions can be made much quicker. elimination
of paper and hardcopy, versatility from booking to billing of the load
reliability

so that a suitable truck can be found to full-fill it.

This solution has been used since 1998 to efficiently move tens of thousands of
loads a year. We continue to provide routine maintenance and add-on modules to
the software.
